Dining options are decent but take advantage of the remote location to charge a premium. Something to feel like you are getting more than the bare minimum needed to get your money on a table. The casinos should have music piped in or even a live cover band on weekends. Rather than run more tables the staff just jack up the table minimum to run off the small spenders. Even during the week it can be a hassle to find a spot to play. The most popular games are always full such as craps and roulette. It’s more of a gamble than roulette! I bring my own water bottle to the craps table because that is likely the only liquid I am getting. In my experience you have a 50-50 shot at ever getting that drink. You nearly have to tackle the lady to place an order, then wait five business days for her to return with your plastic Dixie cup of booze. One big problem is the drink staff on the casino floor. I have seen dealers snap back at rude players which I understand but it doesn’t help the dealers looking like they enjoy their jobs. Dealers get overwhelmed by pushy gamblers often at tables like craps. Casino staff is friendly but dealer mistakes are not uncommon and you need to be aware of the payouts. Especially during the week it seems desolate.

Long walks of not a lot between stuff to do. Many shops and things have been closed since the pandemic so Foxwoods can seem a little empty. Foxwoods offers discounts on virtually everything for retired vets like myself so I save on food and services which really adds up. Otherwise I have enjoyed the rooms and they offer great views of the valley. The stand up shower door also didn’t contain the water and the bathroom floor was soaked. The in room jacuzzi in the suite was nice but very loud and I felt I shouldn’t use it late out of respect for the room below me. Even truck stop motels have outlets with USB ports these days. Rooms are very clean and comfortable but there wasn’t a single USB port in the room.
